My penchant for detail in my wood engravings landed me a staff position in the wax chasing department at the Johnson Atelier Technical Institute of Sculpture, Hamilton, NJ, in 1986. It wasn't long before I discovered a sculptural ability harboring inside me. I took advantage of their policy that allowed free use of the facility after production hours while only paying for materials. It is interesting to note that I learned the technical aspects of casting first before the sculpting began.
